Born in 1982 and raised by her grandparents, Camelita faced adversity early on, especially with familial ties to gangsterism. Yet, her grandmother instilled a sense of fortitude that would guide her through life's challenges.

After a decade in a toxic and abusive marriage, Camelita found the courage to leave in 2011, prioritizing her well-being and that of her two beautiful daughters. Moving in with her aunt in Parow, she pursued education, ultimately graduating with a National Diploma in Human Resource Management in 2022.

In a remarkable twist, Camelita embraced her childhood dream of modeling and pageantry alongside her eldest daughter. In 2023, she was crowned 2nd Princess Mrs. Western Province, a recognition reflecting her resilience and renewed ambitions. “Pageantry has allowed me to embrace my true self,” she shares, highlighting how this journey has deepened her bond with her daughter.

A devoted mother, Camelita teaches her daughters the importance of self-worth and empathy. Her youngest aspires to be a forensic anthropologist, showcasing the diverse dreams nurtured within their home.
